About Us

Sending Stone Shop is a duo of dice makers: Al (they/them) and Heidi (she/her), a queer couple based in Philadelphia, PA.

After a few initial forays into D&D, we really got into TTRPGs in the spring/summer of 2020. We quickly became obsessed with looking at handmade dice, and it wasn’t long before we decided to try making them ourselves. After months of experimentation, we decided to launch Sending Stone. We always knew that we wanted to share our creations with other players, and we hope you love them as much as we’ve enjoyed creating them!

What do you mean when you say ‘handmade’ resin dice?
We create our own silicone molds for our unique master set, we conceptualize our own designs, we pour the resin, and we polish and paint each dice individually and by hand. Every step is handled by us. We also do our own product staging and photography, packaging, and shipping, all from our small apartment in Philly.

Are your dice balanced?
Our dice are as balanced as any factory-made tabletop product. The inclusions we use will not weight the dice in any way.

How do I take care of my handmade resin dice?
When not adventuring, we recommend storing your dice in a cozy dice bag or box to keep them out of direct sunlight to preserve their colors and prevent yellowing of the resin.

Are there any flaws in the dice you sell?
As these are handmade products, there will inevitably be some small cosmetic imperfections. Some micro-scratches, mold marks, bubbles in ink, etc. are to be expected. We list any more notable flaws in the description for each dice set. If you ever have any questions about the quality of a set, please do not hesitate to contact us.

What is your shipping policy?
Currently, we are shipping to the US and internationally with the exceptions noted below. Our giveaways, however, are still open to all. We ship USPS First Class. Please be mindful that shipping times may still be delayed due to USPS backup. Shipping internationally will require a larger fee. Any import taxes or fees are the responsibility of the customer.

United Kingdom - we are currently unable to ship dice purchased to the UK due to VAT requirements.
Germany - also due to VAT requirements.

Countries not accepting USPS shipments due to COVID 19 - please see the list on this page from our shipment service. We are currently unable to send shipments to these countries.

Customers who place orders shipping to these locations will have their orders canceled and refunded. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience!

What is your return policy?
If you are dissatisfied with the product you receive, please get in contact with us via e-mail. On a case by case basis, we may be able to facilitate a return, which would involve shipping the product back to us for a full refund minus shipping costs.
